About The Position

This is a full-time role for a Radiology Technologist responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic procedures. The technologist will ensure patient safety, operate and maintain equipment, manage image quality and documentation, and collaborate with the healthcare team. The role also involves patient communication and adherence to safety protocols. Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and duties may change.

Requirements

Associate’s degree or higher of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Registered with the ARRT within 6 months of graduation
BLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hire

Nice To Haves

1–2 years of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures (e.g., chest, skeletal, fluoroscopy) in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
Properly position patients and adjust equipment settings to obtain optimal images.
Ensure radiation safety by using protective measures and adhering to ALARA principles.
Verify patient identification and procedure orders before performing exams.
Operate and maintain radiographic equipment; report malfunctions or needed repairs.
Upload and review images in PACS, ensuring they meet quality standards for interpretation.
Follow proper protocols for image storage, labeling, and documentation.
Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other care team members to ensure accurate, timely exams.
Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients to explain procedures and ensure comfort.
Assist during emergency or portable imaging procedures as needed.
Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times.
Maintain accurate records and complete documentation in accordance with regulatory and hospital standards.
Stay current with continuing education, licensure, and certification requirements.
