About The Position

We're hiring a Radiology Technologist to join our Imaging Services team. In this role, you'll perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures while providing exceptional patient care across a variety of clinical settings, including the emergency department, operating room, pediatrics, outpatient services, and portable imaging. This position plays a vital role in helping physicians diagnose and treat patients safely, accurately, and efficiently. The position also participates in call rotation across multiple WakeMed locations.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Registered Technologist in Radiography (ARRT) or eligible for registration as required.
Comfortable working in a variety of settings, including emergency services, surgery, pediatrics, outpatient imaging, fluoroscopy, and portable exams.
Committed to patient-centered care, teamwork, safety, and delivering excellent service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Nice To Haves

One year of clinical radiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic exams while producing high-quality images for physician interpretation.
Provide safe, compassionate patient care by explaining procedures, monitoring patient conditions, and ensuring patient comfort throughout exams.
Prepare patients and imaging equipment for procedures, following established protocols and radiation safety standards.
Document exam information accurately in electronic systems and maintain complete patient records.
Support efficient department operations by maintaining imaging equipment, troubleshooting minor issues, and collaborating with physicians and care team members.
