Under the direction of the Radiology Director and Manager, this role produces quality diagnostic medical radiographs, including OR, Flouro, Dexa, or EOS, to ensure proper diagnosis and quality patient care. The position requires the ability to produce quality radiographs by using appropriate exposure techniques, demonstrating proper use of markers, documenting patient history, performing OR/Surgery cases efficiently, supervising and teaching Radiology students, and communicating technical information appropriately. The role also involves observing departmental policies, safety, environmental, and infection control standards, attending departmental in-services and meetings, and performing other duties as assigned. Additionally, the technologist will participate in continuing education, provide service excellence, incorporate quality improvement into daily work, and use the Hospital/Radiology Information system according to policy. Age-appropriate care must be provided to patients of all age groups.
