About The Position

Sentara Radiology Kempsville NDC is seeking a Full-Time Radiology Technologist in Norfolk, VA. This role involves conducting general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients under the direction of a qualified physician. Responsibilities include patient positioning, operating radiation-producing equipment, utilizing electronic Radiology systems, and preparing patient rooms, equipment, and medications. Phlebotomy competency may be required for sites that offer both Radiology and Lab services. All qualified candidates may receive a sign-on bonus.

Requirements

• Registry eligible graduate in lieu of ARRT, must be registered within 90 days of hire.
• Licensed Rad Tech required for staff employed in Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Conduct general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients.
• Position patients for correct anatomy/pathology demonstration.
• Operate radiation-producing equipment.
• Operate electronic Radiology systems.
• Prepare patient room, equipment, and medications.
• Perform phlebotomy competency for lab services if required at certain sites.
