About The Position

Canyon Vista Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join their team. This role is vital in providing exceptional care and making communities healthier. The hospital is located in southeastern Arizona, serving a population of over 131,000 people. The facility is a 177,000 square foot hospital built in 2015, with a commitment to serving the Sierra Vista, Ft. Huachuca, and Cochise County communities.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree.
• Graduate of a program in Radiologic Technology.
• BLS
• Current license American Associate of Radiologic Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Performs various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Review patient history and physician’s orders.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure patient’s understanding and cooperation.
• Prepare equipment and supplies.
• Select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
• Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
• Troubleshoot, resolve, and/or report equipment malfunctions as necessary.
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedures.
• Analyze results and identify issues with the quality of imaging results.
• Take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures.
• Enter, transmit, and report scan results.
