About The Position

Shriners Children’s is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join their Spokane, WA team. This is a full-time, non-exempt, and benefits-eligible position. Radiologic technologists are responsible for performing imaging procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of patients in a professional manner. Compensation will be determined based on years of experience and departmental equity.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED, required
  • Associate in Radiologic Technology, required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), required
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), required

Nice To Haves

  • One year pediatric and/or orthopedic radiology experience, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assesses orders for accuracy and clarifies with provider prior to imaging, if necessary (correct CPT code, correct body part, correct side, correct views)
  • Reviews images for diagnostic quality, which includes proper collimation, use of markers, and positioning accuracy
  • Demonstrates age specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to make appropriate adjustments in the care of patients
  • Practice appropriate radiation safety as designated in Federal and State Radiation Control Regulations. Practices A.L.A.R.A at all times
  • Observes established policies, safety, environmental, and infection control standards
  • Documents consistently and accurately in EMR, PACS, and any other areas per facility requirements
  • Ensures equipment is properly functioning and reports any potential problems or malfunctions to the appropriate contact(s)
  • Maintains professional credentials as required by ARRT and/or state regulations
  • Demonstrates competent technical skills in the use of imaging equipment, quality control and troubleshooting
