New Graduates welcome to apply! This role does not require you perform Fluoroscopy or be involved in surgery.
Requirements
- 1 – 2 years Radiology, preferably in a busy orthopedic practice or hospital.
- Completion of approved American College of Radiology Technologist Program
- Certificate of Medical Imaging Modality by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
- Arizona State license
- Medical Radiologic Technologist Board of Examiners (MRTBE)
- Maintain CPR certification
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures
- Explain all procedures to patients being sure all of their questions are answered
- Protect patients from unnecessary exposure to radiation by utilizing shielding equipment.
- Take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety
- Document patient care services in chart
- Import outside imaging to office PACS
- Scan documents into EMR
- Maintains accurate QC logs and service records, maintain and monitor dosimetry badges, etc. as required by state and federal regulations
- Ensure equipment is in working order, maintain radiology supplies and reports any malfunctions.
