About The Position

Sentara BelleHarbour in Suffolk, VA, is currently hiring a Radiology Technologist for a part time, weekend day shift. This role conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician. This includes positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operation of radiation producing equipment, operation of the electronic radiology systems, preparation of patient room/equipment/medications, and maintains adequate supply inventory. The technologist will also explain the examination and procedure to the patient and complete departmental documentation.

Requirements

• Trade School Graduate - Radiologic Technology (Required)
• ARRT (R) (Required at time of hire)
• BLS

Responsibilities

• Conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician.
• Positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology.
• Operation of radiation producing equipment.
