About The Position

BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full-Time General Radiologist Technologist (Imaging) for Northwest Healthcare (Florissant, MO) - (Outpatient & ED - Adults & Pedi's). This role involves performing general imaging radiographic procedures on adult and pediatric patients for diagnostic and treatment purposes. The position is located in Florissant, MO, and serves both outpatient and Emergency Department settings. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is crucial, especially when serving a busy Emergency Department. Occasional close work with CT is involved, making CT experience helpful. The role does not involve call or surgery.

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher in related field
• Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R), MR
• Associate or Trade School Equivalent Education
• No Experience listed as a minimum requirement
• IEMA - Illinois only, excl MRI
• Radiology Technologist - Reg

Nice To Haves

• CT experience is helpful
• CT Knowledge and/or experience
• <2 years experience
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Responsibilities

• Performs general imaging radiographic procedures to adult and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders.
• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
• Informs patient on instructions and what the procedure entails with a high level of customer service and professionalism.
• Performs radiographic imaging examinations independently, in on-call situations (if applicable), portable exams, and other tasks assigned by the department.
