About The Position

St. George Regional Hospital is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Radiologic Technologist to join our imaging team. This full-time role supports high-quality diagnostic imaging services while ensuring patient safety, accuracy, and compassionate care in accordance with departmental and regulatory standards. This role may be eligible for a sign-on bonus and relocation, if applicable.

Requirements

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) certification
• Active Radiologic Technologist license in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers

Nice To Haves

• May be required to complete the Medical Assistant (MA) Competency Checklist and perform MA functions in a clinic or InstaCare setting
• 1–2 years of radiology experience
• IV certification

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions.
• Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and preparation of patients for exams.
• Performs exams according to department protocols and reviews images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment.
• Completes studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care or image quality.
• Assists with and instructs students and other Radiology Technologists on exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment use.
• Provides appropriate patient education, ensures patient comfort, and addresses patient concerns.
• Practices appropriate infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operates imaging equipment and related information systems to produce quality diagnostic images.
• Maintains accurate documentation of patient information, procedures performed, and any adverse reactions.
• Follows protocols related to medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, quality control programs, and reporting of equipment issues or failures.
