About The Position

Under the direction of a radiologist, performs routine radiographs and minimally invasive procedures at a technical level, not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and ingenuity to apply prescribed ionizing radiation in order to obtain a radiologic diagnosis. Other duties as assigned. Will also follow the principles and guidelines as set forth by the American College of Radiology. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Satisfactory completion of formal radiological training in an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
State License through the Florida Bureau of Radiation Control is mandatory.
Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR/BLS certification required.
Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required.

Nice To Haves

Minimum 3 years' of experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Preferably registered by and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

Responsibilities

Performs a full range of diagnostic, specialty, invasive, surgical, and endoscopic imaging procedures.
Operates specialized equipment, including fluoroscopy, C-arm, and cystoscopy systemes, while ensuring accurate documentation of contrast media usage.
Independently selects and adjusts technical factors to produce high-quality imaging results.
Maintains equipment cleanliness, functionality, and proper operation standards.
Troubleshoots radiologic and fluoroscopy equipment issues and communicates effectively with others.
Demonstrates flexibility in modifying techniques and procedures to meet patient and exam-specific needs.
Other duties as assigned.
