The role requires positioning patients correctly for scans, providing clear instructions, and managing communication during procedures. Accurate data entry into the computer system, selection of appropriate protocols, and timely scanning are essential. The technologist must also safely transport equipment and patients, produce high-quality diagnostic images, and complete archiving responsibilities. Depending on competencies and certifications, the role may also involve performing duties as an X-ray, C-arm fluoroscopy, CT, or procedure technologist. Additionally, the position requires applying age-specific care concepts in interactions with patients and their families.
