About The Position

BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full-Time General Radiology Technologist for Barnes Jewish Hospital – North Campus. This role involves performing general imaging radiographic procedures on adult and/or pediatric patients for diagnostic and treatment purposes. The technologist will prepare patients and equipment, explain procedures, and perform imaging examinations independently. This position is for the evening shift, Monday to Friday, from 3pm to 11:30pm, with no on-call duties. The role includes general CR/DR imaging for inpatients and outpatients, portable imaging, and C-Arm procedures in the Operating Room.

Requirements

• Associate degree or Trade School equivalency (or higher level of education)
• Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R)
• IEMA - Illinois only, excl MRI
• Radiology Technologist - Reg

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
• Informs patient on instructions and what the procedure entails with a high level of customer service and professionalism.
• Performs radiographic imaging examinations independently, in on-call situations (if applicable), portable exams, and other tasks assigned by the department.
