Performs a variety of radiographic procedures applying ionizing radiation. This position is bonus eligible. Essential Functions include assisting in performing various procedures such as ERCP's, video fluoroscopies, all OR procedures, Lumbar punctures, bronchoscopies, enterocolitis, sialo grams, rhizotomy, facet blocks, endoscopy-tube placements or injections, t-tube cholangiogram, major trauma/trauma bay, neo-natal ICU, and pacing lab. The role also involves performing all critical care procedures, arthrograms, myelograms, venograms, minor trauma, and troubleshooting complex studies and equipment problems. The technologist is expected to obtain nursing assessments when nursing is unavailable, document infiltrates and reactions, and ensure image quality before sending to the radiologist. Responsibilities include operating the PAC’s system, documenting in PACS or EPIC, restarting and programming IVACs, responding to codes and emergencies, staying updated on departmental changes, promoting patient care and safety, ensuring smooth patient flow, maintaining good employee relationships, assisting staff during shortages, informing patients of delays, and achieving patient satisfaction. This is a non-management position reporting to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
