Requirements

Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology
Oregon Board of Medical Imaging Radiologic Technologist License (required in OR)
ARRT Radiography (required)
ARRT Mammography (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor (required)
At least two years of recent Mammography/field experience
Ability to work in a short-term acute care setting and participate in travel assignments

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic and screening mammography exams as ordered, ensuring patient comfort and privacy.
Prepare, position, and image patients; operate specialized mammography equipment and assist Radiologist during intricate examinations, including breast biopsies.
Produce high-quality images, ensure proper technique, labeling, and documentation for interpretation.
Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines; educate patients about the exam and subsequent steps as needed.
Obtain and communicate relevant patient information; collaborate with the radiology team and escalate questions or issues to senior staff.
Complete required documentation and support department workflow to ensure timely exam completion.
