About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist Intern to join their Radiology Department at Baptist Beaches in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. This is a PRN opportunity for a 2nd-year student enrolled in an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology. The intern will gain experience in all aspects of x-ray, including ED, Portables, Fluoro, and OR. The role involves assisting Radiology Technical staff with patient transport and handling cassettes, and as training progresses, performing diagnostic exams under direct supervision. A commitment of at least one year in X-ray as a technologist is required upon licensure completion. This position is located at Wolfson Children's Hospital.

Requirements

• Must be a 2nd-year student enrolled in an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Must be able to commit to a minimum of 1 year in X-ray as a technologist upon completion of their licensure requirements.
• Must be able to work in all aspects of x-ray (ED, Portables, Fluoro, and OR).
• Must be compliant with mandatory education and health requirements.
• Requires a level II Background check.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Radiology Technical staff by transporting patients, handling cassettes, and obtaining patient records.
• Performs diagnostic exams on patients under the direct guidance of a registered technical professional as training progresses.
• Is compliant with mandatory education and health requirements.
• Commits to a minimum of 1 year in X-ray as a technologist upon completion of their licensure requirements.
• Will not pursue other modalities for 1 full year if considering other options.
