About The Position

Baptist Health, a recognized top place to work in healthcare and the leading provider in Northeast Florida for over 30 years, is seeking a Radiology Technologist Intern for its Radiology Department at Baptist South in Jacksonville, Florida. This PRN opportunity is for a second-year student enrolled in an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology. The intern will gain experience in all aspects of x-ray, including ED, Portables, Fluoro, and OR, reporting to the Lead Technologist on shift. The role involves assisting radiology staff with patient transport and handling, and as training progresses, performing diagnostic exams under direct supervision. A commitment to working in X-ray for at least one year post-licensure is required.

Requirements

• Must be a 2nd-year student enrolled in an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Must be able to commit to a minimum of 1 year in X-ray as a technologist upon completion of their licensure requirements.
• If they are thinking of going to another modality, they will not be able to do such for 1 full year.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Radiology Technical staff by transporting patients, handling cassettes, and obtaining patient records.
• Performs diagnostic exams on patients under the direct guidance of a registered technical professional as training progresses.
• Is compliant with mandatory education and health requirements.
