About The Position

MaineGeneral is actively seeking skilled individuals to join our team as Radiology Technologist II’s with a specialization in both X-ray and CAT Scan. If you're a current X-ray or CT technologist looking to broaden your expertise in either modality, we encourage you to join us. Weekend shifts scheduled at Alfond Center for Health campus, weekday shifts scheduled at Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care campus. Call coverage required.

Requirements

State of Maine License for Radiologic Technology/Radiographer (RT) required.
Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.

Nice To Haves

Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider preferred.

Responsibilities

Review patient history and physician's orders.
Educate patients on procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
Administer contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice.
Continually monitor patient condition and respond to changes appropriately.
Prepare, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment malfunctions as necessary.
Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on equipment.
Position patients and perform imaging procedures.
Take corrective actions to address image quality issues, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of exam findings.
