The Radiology Technologist I performs a variety of patient care duties to produce diagnostic imaging through the operation of radiographic equipment, utilizing proper technique. This role explains safety protocols, exams, and procedures to patients, and operates fluoroscopic, portable, and diagnostic equipment as required. The technologist works as an independent contributor and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, with additional duties as assigned. While assigned to one designated radiography area (Inpatient, Outpatient, or Emergency Room), they may be asked to cover in alternate locations or MGB sites with appropriate training to ensure a seamless patient care experience. The role requires obtaining and maintaining ARRT Radiography registration and MA licensure, as well as site and department competencies and certifications.
