About The Position
To provide highest quality health care services in a professional, competent, courteous and caring manner by assisting the radiologic technologist with producing quality images for diagnostic purposes for interpretation by (or at the request of) a licensed practitioner.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Limited computer experience
Responsibilities
- Assists radiologic technologist with performing diagnostic radiographic procedures.
- Corroborates patient’s clinical history with procedure, assuring information is documented and available for use by a licensed practitioner.
- Prepares patient for procedures; providing instruction to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety.
- Practices aseptic techniques as necessary.
- Initiates basic life support action when necessary.
- Assumes responsibility for assigned area and reporting equipment malfunction.
- Maintains appearance and cleanliness of area and restocking of area supplies.
- Participates in the department’s quality assessment and improvement plan.
- Complies with minimum standards as noted on the cover page of job description.
- Use common sense and special medical skills to care for the sick or handicapped with regard to the patient’s age and diagnosis.
