About The Position

Midwest Orthopaedic Consultants is seeking a part-time Radiology Technician for their clinics in Orland Park, IL and Oak Lawn, IL. This role involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures to aid physicians in diagnosis and treatment planning. The ideal candidate will have a patient-first approach, educate patients on procedures, position patients for optimal imaging, monitor patient conditions, and ensure image quality. This position is in a fast-paced, high-volume orthopedic clinical setting.

Requirements

Certification in Radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Active license with Illinois Emergency Management Administration (IEMA)
1+ years of experience in radiography in a high volume orthopedic clinical setting
Ability to manage a high volume workload
Ability to take clear images
Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor
Friendly and able to connect well with others
Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic imaging procedures to help physicians determine a diagnosis and subsequent treatment plan.
Act as an advocate for the patient, keeping their best interests at the forefront at all times.
Educate the patient on the procedure to reduce their anxiety and provide comfort.
Position the patient to ensure the best image possible and complete the procedure.
Monitor patients' conditions and reactions and report any abnormal signs to the physician.
Check the quality of the images and repeat if necessary.
