About The Position

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist our providers in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. In addition, this position will ensure the well-being of patients and provide a positive, supportive environment while working in conjunction with physicians, advanced practice clinicians, front office staff and clinical staff.

  • An Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology is required.
  • Active, unrestricted and state appropriate Radiologic Technologist license and/or certification
  • Current X-ray certification and must meet all other applicable requirements by law including state licensure in radiology technology or must have obtained the passing certification letter as applicable and required by state
  • Maintain CEU/CME’s as applicable for licensure
  • Currently affiliated with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)(e.g. Certified and Registered with AART or successfully pass the core modules of the ARRT limited scope of practice exams)
  • 1–2 Years Minimum: Preferably in a similar outpatient or ambulatory setting
  • Proper Positioning & Safety: Strong understanding of patient positioning and ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.

Nice To Haves

  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience with fast-paced, high-patient-volume environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations in accordance with physician orders.
  • Ensure proper patient positioning, technique, and radiation safety protocols.
  • Prepare and maintain imaging equipment; report any malfunctions.
  • Verify patient identity and explain procedures clearly to ensure patient comfort and understanding.
  • Maintain accurate records of imaging procedures and patient data, including retrieving and archiving radiolographic reports
  • Assist with front and back office duties as needed, such as rooming patients, taking vital signs, or assisting with medical procedures (if applicable).
  • Follow HIPAA and OSHA guidelines and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
  • Provide proper, concise and complete EMR documentation and paper based documentation for all assessment and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
