About The Position
The staff Radiologic Technologist is responsible for radiological patient care from neonatal to geriatric. The technologist performs related duties to provide quality care dictated by departmental and Hunt Regional Heathcare policies and procedures.
Requirements
- ARRT registered
- Current Texas State licensure
- CPR Certification
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates an understanding of and adherence to the HMHD Compliance Plan.
- Conduct reflects HMHD's values and a commitment to HMHD's Code of Conduct.
- Attends the required corporate integrity and compliance training and education programs.
- Demonstrates proficiency in understanding the materials presented during the corporate integrity and compliance training and education program.
- Complies with all HIPAA standards.
- Must possess current CPR certification.
- Always prepares and maintains a record of the patient's name, date of birth, exam and clinitcian. Checks the requistion for completeness of information regarding the patient and the test ordered.
- Consistently obtains diagnostic quality radiographs as ordered by a medical staff member.
- Know and applies radiation safety precautions.
- Correctly prepares oral and IV contrast media.
- Assists with training and mentoring Radiology students and new employees.
- Assists in other areas where trained as needed. Performs any other duties to fill the needs of the department, hospital and its patients.
