About The Position

The Radiology Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with physician orders, clinic protocols, and regulatory standards. This role supports high-quality patient care by ensuring accurate imaging, patient safety, and proper documentation. This position is part-time, non-exempt, and scheduled to work on the 2nd Saturday of every month.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program
Current LMRT certification
Current Texas state licensure or registration, as required
Knowledge of radiographic procedures and safety standards
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Able to communicate in English and Spanish is required
Employees must comply with all clinic policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards, including HIPAA, infection control protocols, and radiation safety guidelines. This position is subject to background checks and licensure verification.

Responsibilities

Verify patient identity, exam orders, and clinical indications prior to imaging
Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort, dignity, and safety
Position patients correctly and operate radiographic equipment
Apply radiation safety principles, including shielding and exposure minimization
Review images for quality and completeness prior to provider review
Document procedures accurately in the electronic medical record
Maintain examination rooms, equipment, and supplies
Follow infection control, HIPAA, and safety policies
Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns
Collaborate with providers, nurses, and clinic staff
Perform other duties as assigned
