About The Position
This position is for a Radiology Technician 2nd Yr Student in the CardioVascular Department at North Alabama Medical Center. The student will work under the direct supervision of a Registered CardioVascular Sonographer and globally under the Cath Lab Director. The role involves taking Heart and Vascular images, reporting accurate measurements, and answering questions from Cardiologists and Vascular Physicians. Requirements
- Applicant must pass a drug test upon hiring.
- Must be a Cardiovascular Student in their second year, and within good standing with the program.
- Student must have completed competencies in the various Cardiac and Vascular Exams they will be performing.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
- Registry Eligible from ARDMS or CCI.
Responsibilities
- Performs CardioVascular exams to assist the medical staff in diagnosing patients.
- Develops and prepares studies, to include accurate measurements, and optimal images for interpretation.
- Maintains supplies and cleans equipment in assigned areas.
