About The Position
This worker is responsible for assisting with the smooth flow of diagnostic studies in all modalities as needed. Responsible for the safe transport of patients from the units to CT, Ultrasound, MRI and Xray. Assists with the preparation of patients for exams. Checking patients into Epic when they present for their studies when a patient representative is unavailable.
Requirements
- Must be proficient in filing, telephone etiquette, guest relations and proper body mechanics for patient transport.
- Current BLS certification through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
