Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Any specialty accepted.
Radiologic Technologist issued by Radiology Tech licensure issued by the Illinois Emergency Mgmt Agency required in combination with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities

Perform radiologic imaging to produce high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation.
Prepare and position patients accurately; select appropriate exposure and technical factors.
Administer contrast media/medications per scope of practice; monitor patients and report abnormalities.
Adhere to radiation safety standards and minimize unnecessary exposure.
Maintain equipment functionality and image quality, ensure accurate PACS documentation, and uphold a clean, organized department.
