About The Position

Administers x-rays of various areas of the body to produce clinically diagnostic images that assist physicians in diagnosing disease and injuries. The role serves newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Operates x-ray equipment, develops film, and prepares the room for radiological procedures.

Requirements

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology or registry eligible.
• If registry eligible, must graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program and become registered within one year of hire.
• Maintain current registry and update it before its expiration date.
• Hold current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Ability to effectively deal with patients, families, hospital staff, and physicians.
• Excellent computer, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Must possess the full range of body motion needed to pass the basic FIT test, including standing, bending, stooping, and sitting for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
