Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Limited Radiology Technician credentialed from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. Any specialty accepted. Temporary ARRT license allowed in lieu of permanent license.

Responsibilities

  • Perform radiologic examinations, ensuring accurate patient positioning and precise selection of technical exposure factors to support physician diagnosis.
  • Administer contrast media and medications according to regulations, monitor patients throughout procedures, and strictly adhere to radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure.
  • Ensure all images and patient documentation are high-quality, accurately marked, and promptly submitted to PACS.
  • Monitor equipment functionality, report malfunctions to appropriate personnel, and perform lock/tag-out procedures when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and efficient department, including procedure rooms and storage areas.
