Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and position patients accurately, selecting appropriate anatomic and technical exposure factors while closely monitoring for any abnormal activity during procedures.
  • Capture and deliver high-quality radiologic films to physicians for precise diagnosis, ensuring prompt submission to PACS with correct lead markers, patient data, and clinical history.
  • Strictly adhere to radiation safety guidelines to protect patients from unnecessary exposure, and safely administer contrast media and medications within the established scope of practice and state/federal regulations.
  • Ensure proper functioning of imaging equipment, promptly reporting malfunctions to appropriate personnel and implementing lock/tag-out procedures when necessary.
  • Monitor and recommend updates to clinical protocols while maintaining a clean, orderly, and well-stocked department, including procedure rooms and storage areas.
