About The Position

As Needed Radiology Tech - Meritus Urology ESWL/Fluoroscopy experience preferred At Meritus Health’s Urology practice, imaging is central to diagnosing and treating a wide range of urologic conditions. As an As-Needed Radiologic Technologist in this specialty setting, you’ll perform diagnostic radiology procedures and support imaging needs unique to Urology, including ESWL and fluoroscopy-guided workflows. You’ll collaborate closely with urology providers to deliver high-quality images that inform timely clinical decisions and enhance patient care in a fast-paced outpatient environment. This role is ideal for a technologist who values precision, adaptability, and patient-centered interaction. You’ll apply advanced imaging techniques, maintain equipment readiness, and ensure a smooth, supportive experience for patients navigating urologic concerns.

Requirements

  • Completion of an Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent required
  • One year of experience as a radiographer preferred
  • ARRT registration required
  • Maryland Radiologic Technologist licensure required
  • Current BLS certification in compliance with Meritus Health policy

Nice To Haves

  • ESWL/Fluoroscopy experience preferred
  • ESWL and/or fluoroscopy experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiology exams in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
  • Provide imaging support for extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy and fluoroscopy-guided procedures, ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient workflows
  • Operate and maintain digital radiography and fluoroscopy equipment with competence and care
  • Prepare exam rooms, organize supplies, and maintain clean, safe radiographic areas
  • Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures clearly, and assist staff as needed
  • Obtain and accurately document clinical information from patients
  • Observe patients and equipment during procedures, reporting unusual occurrences immediately
  • Record pertinent patient and imaging information in QA logs, electronic systems, and reports
  • Serve as a resource to staff, offering guidance and support as needed
  • Assist with outpatient medical assisting duties (e.g., vitals, medical history documentation) after demonstrated competency
