About The Position

Community Hospital is seeking a Part-Time Radiology Tech (X-Ray Tech) to join our team at the Community Hospital location. This role is crucial for preparing patients for imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety, and operating imaging equipment according to established protocols. The ideal candidate will maintain high standards of image quality, patient care, and documentation, while staying current with advancements in imaging technology.

Requirements

Associate's degree required.
Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program.
National certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Licensure by the state regulatory agency as applicable.
Must relocate to Grand Junction, CO 81505 before starting work.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
Position patients correctly to obtain the most accurate images and minimize radiation exposure.
Operate and maintain imaging equipment according to established protocols and safety standards.
Monitor patients during procedures to ensure their well-being and report any adverse reactions.
Review images to ensure quality and clarity and collaborate with radiologists to obtain additional views if necessary.
Maintain patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Stay up to date with advances in imaging technology and techniques through continuing education and training.
