About The Position

This is a part-time position for a Radiology Tech (X-Ray Tech) at Community Hospital. The role involves preparing patients for imaging procedures, positioning them correctly, operating and maintaining imaging equipment, monitoring patients, reviewing images, maintaining records, adhering to safety protocols, and staying updated on advancements in imaging technology.

Requirements

Associate's degree required.
Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Requires national certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and licensure by the state regulatory agency as applicable.
Must relocate to Grand Junction, CO 81505 before starting work.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
Position patients correctly to obtain the most accurate images and minimize radiation exposure.
Operate and maintain imaging equipment according to established protocols and safety standards.
Monitor patients during procedures to ensure their well-being and report any adverse reactions.
Review images to ensure quality and clarity and collaborate with radiologists to obtain additional views if necessary.
Maintain patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Stay up to date with advances in imaging technology and techniques through continuing education and training.
