About The Position

The Radiology Technologist Trainee Program is designed for individuals who are within 6-8 months of graduation from a JCERT-certified program. Participants must commit to a minimum of six shifts every six weeks and hold an active BLS certification. A Washington State Radiologic Technician license is also required. Upon successful completion of the program, trainees will be employed as per diem employees of MultiCare. This role involves performing general radiology imaging studies under supervision, requiring independent judgment and initiative to provide comprehensive and compassionate imaging care. The program costs, CPR certification, testing, and license fees are not covered by MultiCare.

Requirements

Eligible to take ARRT registry or enrolled in an ARRT accredited program.
Must obtain ARRT RT(R) within 12 months of hire.
Washington State license as X-Ray Technician (XT license) required.
6-8 months away from graduation.
Can commit to a minimum of six shifts, every six weeks.
Have an active BLS.
In good standing in a JCERT certified program.
Hold an active WA state Radiologic Technician license.

Nice To Haves

Two letters of recommendation will be required for applicants who have not completed clinical rotations with MultiCare Health system.

Responsibilities

Perform general radiography imaging studies under the supervision of department leadership of Imaging Services.
Follow policies and procedures while providing patient care activities and any related non-professional services in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients and families.
Recognize and report patient needs to create a safe and comfortable patient care environment.
