About The Position

The Radiology Technologist Trainee Program is for individuals who are 3-6 months away from graduation from a JCERT certified program. This program offers an opportunity to work in collaboration with skilled Imaging/Radiology teams, performing general radiology imaging studies that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Trainees will work with their team to ensure comprehensive and compassionate imaging care for MultiCare patients. Upon successful completion of the program and obtaining necessary certifications and licensure, trainees may be offered per diem employment with MultiCare.

Requirements

3-6 months away from graduation from a JCERT certified program.
Can commit to a minimum of six shifts, every six weeks.
Have an active BLS.
In good standing in a JCERT certified program.
Hold an active WA state Radiologic Technician license.
Eligible to take ARRT registry or enrolled in an ARRT accredited program.
Must obtain ARRT RT(R) within 12 months of hire.
Washington State license as X-Ray Technician (XT license) required.

Nice To Haves

Two letters of recommendation will be required for applicants who have not completed clinical rotations with MultiCare Health system.

Responsibilities

Perform general radiography imaging studies under the supervision of department leadership of Imaging Services.
Follow policies and procedures to provide patient care activities and related non-professional services for the comfort of patients and families.
Recognize and report patient needs to create a safe and comfortable patient care environment.
Scope of practice will be limited to exams where proficiency has been demonstrated and within the parameters of licensure.
