About The Position

SPORTSMED ORTHOPEDIC IS SEEKING AN EXPERIENCED MRI TECH TO JOIN OUR HUNTSVILLE, AL CLINIC. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WOULD HAVE AT LEAST 2 YEARS OF CLINICAL X-RAY EXPERIENCE WITH MRI PROCEDURE EXPERIENCE HIGHLY PREFERRED.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Radiology (experience will be considered in lieu of degree)
• Current/active ARRT license required - RT (MR) strongly preferred
• Knowledge of radiologic standards, requirements and regulations
• Thorough knowledge of orthopedic terminology and anatomy

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of clinical X-ray experience
• MRI procedure experience

Responsibilities

• Operation of MRI machines, computer software (EMR) systems, and other high-tech equipment as needed
• Determine individual technique for ordered examination and position patient properly
• Maintain proper quality control procedures
• Answering patient questions about the procedure
• Adjusting equipment as needed to produce high-quality images
• Evaluating images to make sure they meet the ordering provider’s requirements
• Must have knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to MRI exams and equipment
• Work as a team member within the imaging department
