About The Position

Harrison County Hospital is seeking to hire a Rad Tech/MA for After Hours Care. This is a part-time position with day/evening shifts, requiring 24-32 hours per week, a minimum of 3 days per week, plus additional hours as needed. The role involves transporting patients to the diagnostic imaging department, assisting patients with mobility and comfort, developing films, performing darkroom duties, and handling clerical tasks such as entering patient information into the radiology information system and managing films. The position also includes assisting in the clinical area with patient intake, discharge, and noninvasive laboratory tests. The successful candidate will participate in customer service initiatives and perform all duties in accordance with the hospital's mission, objectives, and policies, serving patients of all age groups. Familiarity with general office equipment and patient transport devices is expected.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • ARRT registered as a Radiologic Technologist or Limited Radiologic Technician or Certified by the Indiana State Board of Health as a Radiographer or LMR
  • CPR Certified
  • Annual Fire/Safety Training
  • Annual PPD
  • Corporate Compliance
  • Fluent to read, write, and speak English

Nice To Haves

  • Previous medical experience preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology helpful, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Transports patients to the diagnostic imaging department in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort.
  • Assists patients from wheelchair to the imaging table, helps patients to the bathroom, carries films, etc.
  • Develops films and performs related darkroom duties.
  • Performs clerical duties, receives patient's information, enters patients into the radiology information system, and checks films in/out.
  • Files and retrieves film folders.
  • Assists in clinical area with intake and discharge along with noninvasive laboratory tests.
  • Participates and supports all customer service goals and objectives.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with the mission, objectives, and policies of Harrison County Hospital.
  • Provides services to patients of all age groups, from birth to maturity, regardless of sex or national origin.
