About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Radiology Clinical Supervisor, the Radiology Technologist performs general radiographic procedures and related radiology tasks and patient care activities. The role requires excellent customer service skills and participation in quality improvement activities. The position is 24 hours per week, works nights Monday through Friday, and has on-call responsibilities; weekends are not required.

Requirements

• Completion of a formal radiographic technology program at an AMA-approved school.
• Successful completion of board registry by ARRT and continuous ARRT registration.
• Previous knowledge of information systems and computer literacy.
• Current BLS certification.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer ionizing radiation to produce radiographs.
• Provide safe and effective patient care while performing Radiologic Technologist duties.
• Use Radiology equipment and software effectively in daily responsibilities.
• Maintain certifications, registrations, and education requirements of the hospital and accrediting body.
• Apply the ALARA principle to minimize radiation dose.
• Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of protocols and procedures.
• Use AIDET consistently when communicating with patients, visitors, physicians, peers, managers, volunteers, and internal and external customers.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
