About The Position
This position is within the MRI Department at Paoli Hospital. The Radiology Technologist Assistant will perform specific diagnostic-related duties in providing for the care and comfort of patients under the direction of the Technologist. Responsibilities include assisting the Radiologic Technologist in preparing for various diagnostic procedures such as imaging management, verifying the patient’s clinical history, assisting with the patient’s immobilizations, and performing clearance of MRI patients for screening.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Patient care or customer oriented experience preferred.
- Computer skills preferred.
- Student Radiography experience preferred; enrolled in a JRCERT accredited Radiography Program.
Responsibilities
- Perform specific diagnostic-related duties in providing for the care and comfort of patients under the direction of the Technologist.
- Assist the Radiologic Technologist in preparing for various diagnostic procedures.
- Assist with imaging management.
- Verify the patient’s clinical history.
- Assist with the patient’s immobilizations.
- Perform clearance of MRI patients for screening.
