About The Position

Under the supervision of the Manager of MRI/CT, this role assists radiologists, technologists, and nurses with technical and patient care duties. The position involves maintaining supplies, preparing exam rooms for patients, assisting patients prior to procedures, and handling reception and clerical duties. Duties may also be required in other areas at either the E. Newton or Shapiro Campuses.

Requirements

Requires a high school level of knowledge in reading and writing (in English) and arithmetic.
Requires knowledge of work routines, procedures, materials and equipment in order to prepare rooms for x-ray procedures, perform sterilization duties and stock rooms with supplies.
Requires minimal analytical ability.
Requires interpersonal skills and communication skills in order to provide information, reassurance and support to patients in somewhat difficult situations.
One to three months of on-the-job training.

Nice To Haves

Preference given to those individuals who have successfully completed medical terminology and basic patient care courses.
