About The Position

The Radiology Tech Aide is responsible for helping maintain patient flow within the Radiology Dept and assists the imaging staff in preparing for the imaging procedure.

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to understand directions and be able to communicate and respond to inquiries.
• Requires effective interpersonal skills.
• Must be CPR certified.

Nice To Haves

• Currently enrolled in the radiography program
• Prior patient care experience

Responsibilities

• Clerical duties include answering phones.
• Communicates delays to patients/ families.
• Transports patient to the Radiology Dept.
• Assists with transferring of patients from wheelchairs, stretchers, and bed onto the patient imaging table using safe patient handling equipment.
• Cleans rooms and stocks supplies to ensure the dept is prepared and ready for use.
• Interacts with staff and co-workers in a manner that promotes positive working relationships.
• Utilizes EPIC to communicate within the ED if patient is ready for imaging study and has completed imaging study.
• Positions the patient to ensure patient comfort.
• Other duties as assigned.
