Under the direct, personal supervision of a registered radiologic technologist, sonographer, or nuclear medicine technologist, the student worker assists in the performance of high quality radiographic, sonographic, or nuclear medicine exams. Functions under the direct, personal supervision of a registered radiologic technologist, sonographer, or nuclear medicine technologist in providing patient care, emotional support, and problem solving; all in accordance with hospital and radiology policy/procedure. Initiates request for patient transportation. Directs patients to imaging rooms. Stocks and/or obtains supplies as directed. Requires prior approval or guidance from supervisor: time/schedule changes; legal issues; care which deviates from standard; and identify educational resources to meet developmental needs.
