About The Position

The Radiology Services Manager provides radiographic services to patients and oversees the operation of imaging equipment and image processing. This role ensures that equipment, supplies, and medications are maintained to support efficient and effective radiology services.

Requirements

  • Certificate or Associate degree from an accredited school of Radiology
  • Three to seven years radiology experience in an acute care setting including prior CR, PACS, and RIS experience
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Current registration/certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology
  • Current license as a Radiology Technologist in state(s) where currently practicing
  • Current BLS certification

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Science, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration
  • CT or Ultrasound experience
  • Registration/Certification in Computed Tomography (CT)

Responsibilities

  • Manage and consult with Technologists in direct patient care, including staffing and scheduling to ensure optimal patient service.
  • Ensure the effective operation of the radiology department by overseeing scheduled procedures and ensuring the appropriate utilization of resources.
  • Provide operational oversight of radiology services, acting as a resource and field content expert to support the department's goals and objectives.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, ensuring the highest quality of care and safety for patients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement strategies for improving radiology services and patient outcomes.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of radiology staff, providing guidance and support to enhance professional development and service delivery.
  • Oversee the maintenance and functionality of imaging equipment, ensuring timely repairs and upgrades as necessary.
  • Manage inventory and procurement of radiology supplies and medications, ensuring availability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Serve as a liaison between the radiology department and other departments within the healthcare facility to ensure seamless integration of services.
