The Radiology Scheduler is responsible for managing inbound and outbound communications with internal and external customers, ensuring the accurate scheduling, rescheduling, and confirmation of patient appointments for a variety of radiology exams through a computerized scheduling system. This role requires precise data entry within the Fuji RIS system to maintain appointment integrity and support efficient departmental operations. Success in this position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a solid understanding of radiology procedures and medical terminology. The scheduler serves as a key point of contact for patients and referral sources, delivering compassionate, professional, and patient-focused service while maintaining high standards of accuracy and productivity. In addition, the scheduler may support specialty work queues and other departmental functions as needed. The position works collaboratively with technologists, clinical staff, providers, and fellow team members to promote operational efficiency and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment. This position is primarily remote; however, attendance at on-site meetings, training sessions, team events, or other business-related activities may be required. Successful incumbents are expected to progress toward a Tier 3 Scheduler role through demonstrated proficiency, performance, and completion of required training, as determined in partnership with leadership.
