About The Position

Radiology Imaging Associates (RIA) is seeking a Radiology Physician Connect Coordinator for their clinical call center. This role provides excellent customer service and support to radiologists, partner hospitals, and referring physicians. The coordinator will resolve incoming inquiries efficiently and in a timely manner. The position is fully remote within Colorado, requiring in-office training, and is intended for local Colorado candidates only. RIA is a private radiology practice with over 100 radiologists serving 10 hospitals and providing diagnostic services for over 40 locations across Colorado and Hawaii. They are committed to delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging and medical care, operating 12 outpatient imaging centers under the Invision Sally Jobe (ISJ) network.

Requirements

• Clinically oriented role
• Knowledge of medical terminology required
• Previous healthcare experience required
• Superior customer service skills
• Strong computer skills and type at least 40 wpm
• Computer Software knowledge to include: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.), RIS, PACS and VSDM
• Team player but also able to work independently towards a common goal
• Ability to multi-task in multiple systems
• Ability to work with a high sense of urgency
• Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with other team members, techs, providers, PACS administrators and other clinical staff regarding radiology exams and other technical components
• Must be able to read, write, and speak in English

Nice To Haves

• Previous radiology experience preferred
• Medical assistant or Radiology Tech experience preferred
• Excellent phone etiquette and verbal communication with previous call center experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Facilitates calls between radiologists, referring physicians, and clinical staff
• Conveys any STAT or pertinent critical findings to our referring physicians and partner hospitals on behalf of our radiologists and documents communication in patient reports
• Facilitates Hold & Call/Read & Call workflow
• Facilitates overread addendums for Cardiac MR & CT exams
• Relays HeartFlow requests from Radiologists to CT departments in hospitals
• Answers general questions around reporting and examinations (as appropriate and within HIPAA guidelines)
• Problem solving for radiologists, partner hospitals and referring physicians
• Quality check addendum reviews
• All other duties as assigned
