About The Position

Billings Clinic is seeking a Radiology Nurse to join their team. This role involves utilizing the nursing process to promote and maintain patient health, incorporating evidence-based practices and national standards to achieve quality outcomes. The nurse will assume responsibility and accountability for the quality of nursing care, directing the plan of care while maintaining professionalism. The position is full-time, with a shift that includes days, evenings, and weekends. Billings Clinic is a community-owned, not-for-profit, Physician-led health system recognized internationally for its quality of care and nursing excellence.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
ACLS and PALS certification required
Required to complete 4 hours of annual training per year for comprehensive stroke certification requirements.
NIHSS training is required
RN license at hire
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience relating to the above tasks, knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered.
Employees that require a licensed or certification must be properly licensed/certified and the licensure/certification must be in good standing.

Nice To Haves

BSN. Completion of a BSN within 4 years of hire is required for candidates with fewer then 5 years of Registered Nursing experience. Candidates with 5 (five) or more years of Registered Nursing experience may waive this requirement.
Experience in critical care, conscious sedation, interventional radiology, angiography and nuclear medicine experience desirable

Responsibilities

Utilizing a holistic approach and evidence based nursing practices, incorporates the nursing process into the goal-directed plan of care for the patient.
Collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team to execute a plan of care appropriate to the needs of the patients.
Ensures complete, accurate and timely entry into patient medical record as indicated by patient condition and documentation guidelines, consistent with departmental policies and procedures.
Adheres to Billings Clinic safety standards, policies and practices. Anticipates and identifies problems and safety issues, then initiates appropriate action.
Maintains appropriate skill/knowledge and application of relevant and commonly used equipment specific to area, pharmacology and laboratory values based on disease process or physiological status.
Utilizes evidence based practice, supported by nursing research, within specialty area.
Utilizes performance improvement principles to assess and improve the quality of patient/resident care. Incorporates the Magnet Model in transforming the work environment and quality of nursing care.
Takes responsibility for own professional growth and development needs; meets all system/departmental educational requirements.
Demonstrates collaborative, supportive, and caring behaviors in communication with patient’s families, visitors, and the interdisciplinary care team.
Consideration is given to the appropriateness of care based on the population specific needs of the patient.
Supports and models behaviors consistent with Billings Clinic’s mission, vision, values, code of business conduct and service expectations. Meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements.
