About The Position

Ozarks Community Hospital (OCH) is seeking a PRN Radiology MRI Technician to join our Radiology department. The Radiology MRI Technician is responsible for performing MRI procedures and providing patient care, requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in utilizing magnet resonance imaging for diagnosis and intervention. This role involves routine magnetic resonance imaging and other procedures, demanding sound judgment and understanding of anatomical positioning and physiology. The technician will independently select and modify technical factors to produce optimal magnet resonance images, prioritizing patient welfare, confidentiality, and comfort.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduation from an approved school of Radiologic Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 1 year of hire.
  • Registered in MRI within 1 year of hire.
  • If unable to meet exam requirements, then must meet with manager to make arrangements to fulfill exam requirements in order to obtain MRI
  • Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
  • Current BLS certification upon hire or BLS certification must be obtained during orientation period or at next available scheduled class.
  • Throughout employment, current BLS certification must be maintained by renewal during renewal period or at next available scheduled class.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science degree is preferred but not required.
  • One year of experience under a Board-Certified Radiologist preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI procedures and patient care requiring independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in the utilization of prescribed magnet resonance imaging for diagnosis and intervention.
  • Perform routine magnetic resonance imaging and other procedures requiring sound judgement and understanding of anatomical positioning and physiology.
  • Independently select and modify technical factors to produce optimum magnet resonance images, while keeping patient welfare, confidentiality, and comfort a top priority.
