About The Position

Assist in management of the Radiology department, establishment of policies, procedures, standards and objectives for the provision of radiological services, the evaluation and maintenance of quality assurance programs, and the coordination with other departments in providing optimal services to patients. Assists in the selection of any or all of the above technologies and is responsible for education, training, upgrades, and the day-to-day management these technologies. Direct supervision of lead technical and lead transport staff in the above areas. Maintains staffing plans & reviews work assignments. Shared supervision of radiology secretarial staff and their functions with regard to payroll preparation and maintenance of attendance records. Performs other management duties and assignments as directed.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of Radiologic procedures used in patient treatments.
  • Thorough knowledge of safety and proper usages of all mechanical and electrical equipment used in Radiology.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques.
  • Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices.
  • 2 years supervisory experience required.
  • DOH RT license required.
  • ARRT certification required.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Intermediate computer skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree in Science preferred.
