Performs a variety of diagnostic procedures utilizing ionizing radiation for diagnosis of disease processes and delineation of both normal/abnormal anatomy as well as pathological conditions in areas of the human body. This role requires maintaining up-to-date knowledge and skill levels in areas of expertise such as Portable, C-arm, Fluoroscopy, Digital Radiography (DR), and Computed Radiography (CR). The technologist is responsible for the safe operation of equipment, adherence to Quality Control guidelines, State and Federal regulations, and department policies. They will utilize the Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS) and Community Wide Scheduling (CWS), and must demonstrate proficiency in Radiation and MRI Safety and Protection techniques, including ALARA, Dosimetry, Shielding, Collimation, and Magnetic field awareness. The position also emphasizes providing excellent patient care, maintaining strict patient confidentiality, promoting effective working relationships, and contributing to a positive team environment. The technologist will also be responsible for assisting in other areas as needed, ensuring cost-effective use of supplies, and applying Lean principles.
