About The Position

Ozarks Community Hospital (OCH) in Gravette, Arkansas, is looking for a full-time Radiology CT Technician to work weekends in their Radiology department. The hospital's mission is to provide exceptional healthcare and preventive services with compassion, respect, and dignity, focusing on serving the underserved and improving access to care. The Radiology CT Technician will perform radiology/CT procedures independently or under physician supervision, adhering to established standards, policies, and protocols. The role emphasizes producing optimal images by understanding anatomy and physiology, while prioritizing patient welfare, confidentiality, and comfort.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduation from an approved school of Radiologic Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 1 year of hire.
  • Certified by the State of Arkansas to practice and administer radiation.
  • Registered in CT within 1 year of hire unless unable to meet exam requirement, then must meet with manager to make arrangements to fulfill exam requirements.
  • Current BLS certification upon hire or BLS certification must be obtained during orientation period or at next available scheduled class. Throughout employment, current BLS certification must be maintained by renewal during renewal period or at next available scheduled class.
  • Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
  • Current compliance with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for specialty (ies) as appropriate.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science degree is preferred, but not required.
  • One year of experience under a Board Certified Radiologist preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Independently, or under the direct supervision of a physician, performs radiology/CT procedures consistent with the established standard of medical care in radiology.
  • Follows policies and protocols using established anatomical positioning and physiology to produce optimum images.
  • Keeps patient welfare, confidentiality, and comfort a top priority.
